Manitou Springs Middle School athletic programs provide students with the opportunity to grow as young individuals. Students should develop skills, knowledge, and understanding of their chosen activity, along with respect and appreciation for team members, opponents, coaches, officials, and spectators.

Middle School co-curricular programs are designed as an extension to the classroom to promote and develop a well-rounded experience for our students. At Manitou Springs Middle School, we believe that character development should be at the forefront of what drives our program goals, processes, and results. Our programs shall challenge students’ intellect, stimulate creativity, promote leadership, enhance academic achievement, and provide a means for students to express their artistic and performing talents while growing as young members of our community. As such, our guidelines are in place to help develop these lifelong skills and help students understand that by being a member of a team, they are representing something bigger than themselves.
